finally... the last day of 2007! the last day of december, the last page of the chapter. Tomorrow, it'll be a new beginning, a new page, a new chapter, and very importantly- a NEW STORY!:) but let me start practicing writing 2008. doubt i'll get used to it any time soon... i was writing 2006 all the way till around march this year. blur me

anyways, looking back in the past year, i realised that its one of the most important year of my life- learning many new stuff, getting the chance to do stuff, and knowing new people. just in case i forget, i'll note down some stuff i dont ever ever want to forget:

january
- SEC 3! new classmates, new class, new textbooks, new teachers:) :(
- dont have to shuffle between MOELC and school anymore!

feburary
- chinese new year: for once people say i GREW TALLER!:D
- went canoeing with the Girl Guides with an injured finger
- pass all my common tests!

march
-cant remb much... except tat the holidays somehow had me going back to school EVERYDAY:S

april
-celebrated my birthday
-made my IC!!!:)
-mug so so HARD for the Mid Year exams

may
-was super nervous and anxious the entire month due to exams
-camp prep for SLC 2007, heard so much, so scary~~~
-prep for SHANGHAI trip:):):) [the thing we've been waiting for]
-get result slip (nearly fainted=.=)
-went to shanghai for 9 days with the STAR ppl. love it. missing it. want to go back!

june (THE MOST HAPPENING MONTH!)
- survived SLC 2007 freaky freaky freaky
- instructors/facilitators at 3D2N STAR camp (given free reign at the chalet!!!!:))
-wrote the FIRST full scale report of my entire life! [16 pages! font 12]

july
- LCD 2007 i am the secondary 2 coordinator of the 25th Student Council
- prime minister MR LEE HSIEN LOONG visited our school!:D
- O levels chi oral exam, nerve wrecking or what?

august
- national day was a blast, helping out selling stuff for charity
- went for national day rally speech (invitation! first time in my life 0.O)

september
- KWN filming, once again, entire holidays GONE
- common tests... got 44 for A maths. the only flunk i GOT. what a blemish

october
- promising to mug hard hard but still watching cartoons (who says i have no life?:P)
- anxiously planning for after EOYs and induction camp!
- ran induction camp. broke down for my sec 2s [miss tang says i give too much ??]
- got report book. not too bad. not very decent either. except for A maths. haha. i love it

november
- had AP for 2 weeks. sian sian sian. holiday mood still must chiong syllabus....
- thought can rest but NO NO NO.
- KWN prize ceremony (champs in Spore)
- ASEAN portal launch (pan pac hotel... dizzying, esp interviewing minister for communication and the arts)
- radio interviews and stuff
- decided that media might not be very good for health[camera, lights, attention when i just want sleep!] (so why do i wan a job in that sector? god knows....)
- Secondary one registration (thanks kenneth...i dun tink i would have survived this month without you)
- APICTA 07 (represented spore!!!:P)
- Jason and Rain's WEDDING:) (i emceed!! not very good but.. first time ma)
- CO and Choir Concert (not once did i regret)

december
- KWN regionals award (best culture!)
- we were on Today, Newpaper, My paper, the malay and tamil paper. whoa:P
- rest abit... (2 days half)
- batch outing at ECP, where it rained the WHOLE DAY (who cares? as long as we have fun!)
- christmas (one of the best ever. SHAWN IS SO SO ADORABLE AND CUTE! too bad lawrence came down with chickenpox:(, and i walked 1 km with james to buy 3 cucumbers. cant believe it...but still, BBQing rawks!)
- orientation meeting FRENZY
- NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

new year, new resolutions? mayb... but i'll post them tomorrow i guess. but this is to everyone who was there for me:

luck never gives, it only lends. and i really wanna thank those who lent me theirs, and helped me pull through some of the rougher periods. those who were there to share my joy, laughter, tears and sadness. somehow, this year, i cried alot more, and smiled alot more too. ironic i know, but true. when i couldnt take it anymore, when i thought everything was against me, you were there to say: i'm with you. and i saw the rainbow after the rain, everytime, no matter how long the storm lasts.

some might take a road to take themselves to the stars, but i will take the road that will see me through. afterall, there must be some truth in the fact that truth hurts, right? reality might just suck sometimes, but if you remain true to yourself then sheer willpower and determination will pull you through. this year was a series of tribulations, second chances, opportunities, luck, and fun. and often i found myself at the crossroads, asking: is there world enough for me?

is it big enough out there? big enough for me to realise my dreams, for me to own my own space, for me to belong? it doesnt matter that i dont have the answer now, but rather, to have friends who love me enough to help me find my answer, to lend me courage to venture further then i've ever gone. when life hands me a lemon, i learnt to answer: "oh yeah? i love lemons. what else have you got?"

in their eyes, i am complete, even with my flaws. and in my eyes, they are too. and that's what really matters. they taught me, that i will always have a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to, someone to ask advices from, someone to laugh out those silly moments with me. SOMEONE WHO WILL BE THERE.

wish for what you want. work for what you need. and in this year, i learnt. noone's gonna throw something in your face and say its for you, you have to grab it and say, it's mine (rightfully. not stealing and stuffs) except for during xmas eve, when izwan and bryant played my santa by sending me presents. but they didnt land on my face, they landed on the doorstep. close enough though. haha. enough said, i am getting a weebit emotional now...

last but not least: love is like war- easy to start but hard to end. have a SUPER 2008 frens, and remb, i'll always love you guys:P you all rock! ALOT.
