just finished watching aquamarine on tv:) absolutely sweet. i've always wanted to go to the movies for that movie when it was released but somehow i didnt have the time and when i finally was free, the movie isnt in the theaters anymore. SO HAPPY that i caught it today

its so sweet and all. hmm... for those who didnt watch it, its about 2 best friends who stumbled upon a mermaid in the pool in their backyard after a storm. the mermaid is really pretty and BLONDE. yes. and she has legs in the day, provided that she doesnt touch water. her dad is furious with her for leaving home and wants to force her to marry a fat ugly merman. they agreeded on a pact- if aquamarine (the mermaid) can prove her dad wrong by proving that love exists in just 3 DAYS, then she can cancel her marriage to that merman.

she sees this guy (raymond) and falls in love with him. and...... hmm, people, watch the movie! its super nice and refreshing:) then you'll know the end. haha. CLIFFHANGER!

well, just some memorable quotes from the movie:

from the mermaid: i just dont understand. why do humans need love?
the girl: ... i guess its cause love's the closest thing to magic we ever get.

the girl: my dad says he loves me. and he said he loves my mum. but he still left with another woman. sometimes love does not really give you the results you want. but it still exists doesnt it? it turns out differently for everyone

nice right? it somehow neatly explains love and leaves you to think. really, everyone should watch it and really hear the unique conversations. it keeps your mind going for awhile

and of course, the funny parts!

mermaid: i didnt know u leak water when you feel sad.

mermaid: it feels so good to have legs. i could bounce on the bed all day.

and when she dines with raymond, she adds half a bottle of salt into her water b4 she drinks it. he asks if its good, and she says its "refreshing". so he does the same and ends up sputtering and all. its really hilarious.

but the real good aprt was when she (the mermaid) was tossed back intot he sea and pulled back by her dad, he goes to save her. and he stills like her despite the fact that she's a mermaid. this shows that love can surpass all boundaries doesnt it? and it can overcome everything. including angry merman fathers. lol:)
